Hey Guys,

Last night I went on an infusion run at Iron Mines. I have done this run many times before. Ususally the group runs up to the cave entrance, and skips the movie scene. Now, Noobies will quit if you dont explain that when we get to the movie part they will re-instance again with us. So Last night all was well untill we got to the movie part. It's not there anymore. We had to go directly to fight the boss, and the people that died could not re-instance. How long has this been the case?
Also I used to wear my old armor with appropriate runes for the run. then would change into my new armor before choosing to infuse (which I carried with me) and infused it.
Well it didn't work for me last night. I will say when I first clicked the the char NCP that infuses, I forgot to remove my mask, which was already infused. Did this cause the hick up? Or do we now need to wear the armor that will be infused before the Mission Button is activated?

I believe what happend to the mission is a result of trying to "nerf" the infusion runs. They removed the cutscene from the infusion portion (perhaps on purpose to nerf). In the process the cutscene doesn't work at the end of the mission and you can't complete it.

This has been this way since Thursday/Friday update.

Many suspect that it will be corrected (the mission, if their intention was really to nerf the runs) with the patch that removes PvP today.

As far as I know you can still take a spare set of armor with you and then swap it out BEFORE you talk to the seer to get your infusion after getting the unguent.

One thing that people are reporting is that sometimes the essence doesn't drop after killing the Elodion (sp?).

What I don't get is that if they are removing how are they going to deal with the plot point that is revealed in that cutscene?

It could all just be a mistake and everything will go back to normal shortly. I hope at that it all gets fixed soon (cut or no) soon, I am at that point with my Ranger and need to get infused and move on to THK.

This same thing happened to me the other day on my monk. I bought all new armor for my monk because i put runes on my old armor so i could go 55 hp. So i ran with 55 hp to the seer. When we got around there a couple people died and we were all set for running and no one could be rez'd at all. And since i was a 55 monk and no one had any healing i was the only one able to fight the eidolin and all of the things around him.
Finally we got the essence and went back to the seer and i couldnt infuse my new armor. But the people that were still alive got theirs infused. I heard that u canonly infuse up to 5 times but i only infused one set of armor before this one.

I spoke with my Guildies and they told me you can only infuse 5 sets of armor.

Is this true? Can someone verify that for me?

The mission was bugged and has been fixed with todays update.

I see no reason why you would be limited to five sets of armor. Yes, you must be wearing the armor that needs infusing. Change to it before clicking on him.

A few things still though: You have to talk to the Seer before the essense is given to him to start the bonus for yourself (you can be wearing any armor at this point) - If you do not activate the bonus for yourself by talking to him you will NOT get infused once the essense is given to him - he'll just try to give you bonus - but the eidolin is already dead lol.

The bonus for that mission is not to kill the eidolon.

OK I took your advice. Last night I did the run again, except this time, I switched my armor before anyone clicked the guy on crack floating in the air, aka seer. I clicked on him and continued on with my party to kill the eidolin. I happened to be the one to grab and carry the essence (drop) and I made sure everyone was wearing the appropriate armor befor I clicked on Crack boy. Sure enough I was able to infuse my armor, which was a huge relief since I worked hard for it. The question about being able to infuse only 5 sets remains. Since I talked with a lot of people about this, I was surprised at how many of them are under this impression. Its like this myth that many players belive in. The moderators in GURU might have the answere to this. Hope they read this thread.

By the way Former, you are right. The infusion has to be done in the right order and wering the right armor or it does not work.

Ps. As of last night (9pm PT) the Movie clip is still not working.

I had heard that infusion running didn't work anymore so me and some guildies fought our way there, 2 war 1 ele 1 necro and 1 monk. No special build, took 12 minutes. Only reason we were there was to infuse one party member's second armour set.

What I am saying is: There really wasn't any point in nerfing it.

Coupled with the fact that, as previously mentioned, a very large plot point is revealed in the cutscene and that it was the most hilariously entertaining cutscene in the entire game (THE most eccentric and overacted performance ever). I sincerely recommend it be reinstated.

Besides, a infuse run (if that's what the group decide they want to do) is a lot of fun.

What's worse? People skipping a 12 minute fight to upgrade their armour or people being run to droknars forge to buy the best armour 15 levels before they ascend?
